The transition period for SDSs ends at the end of 2023.

Safety Data Sheets prepared in accordance with the Regulation on Safety Data Sheets for Harmful Substances and Mixtures O.G.13/12/2014-29204 will be deemed invalid.

Safety Data Sheets must be prepared in accordance with the Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals O.G.23/06/2017-30105

Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) are the identity cards for chemicals (substances or mixtures) . They are the main hazard communication tools in the supply chain of substances and mixtures. They are regulated by REACH regulation and CLP regulation. We compile and authorize EU Safety Data Sheets according to the latest requirements of REACH and CLP or Turkey and translate them into any languages according to your needs.

REACH Safety Data Sheet is called Extended Safety Data Sheet because REACH requires that Exposure Scenario (ES) (part of registration dossier) be annexed to safety data sheet for substances over 10 ton per year and classified as dangerous.

Regulation (EU) 2020/878: Revised Requirements for EU Safety Data Sheets.

On 25 Jun 2020, the European Commission published Regulation (EU) 2020/878 amending the annex II of REACH regulation. The annex II of REACH regulation sets the content and format requirements for chemical safety data sheets in the EU. The new regulation means that there will be revised requirements.

The new regulation comes into force on 1 Jan 2021. Existing SDSs can be used until 31 December 2022.

The following two general requirements are new:

The language used in the safety data sheet shall be simple, clear and precise, avoiding jargon, acronyms and abbreviations. Statements such as “may be dangerous”, “no health effects”, “safe under most conditions of use” or “harmless” or any other statements indicating that the substance or mixture is not hazardous or any other statements that are inconsistent with the classification of that substance or mixture shall not be used.

All pages of a safety data sheet, including any annexes, shall be numbered and shall bear either an indication of the length of the safety data sheet (such as “page 1 of 3”) or an indication whether there is a page following (such as “Continued on next page” or “End of safety data sheet”).  for SDSs for the EU market.
